CJ CheilJedang searches for global bio talent in Boston

South Korean food and bio giant CJ CheilJedang Corp. on Monday said its Chief Technology Officer Hwang Yun-il, CJ CheilJedang BIO executive Yoon Seok-hwan and CJ Bioscience Inc. CEO Chun Jong-sik recently visited Boston to explore future growth engines in the bio industry and recruit world-class talent.

As the capital of the state of Massachusetts, Boston is home to global pharmaceutical and biotechnology corporations, think tanks, elite institutions of higher learning like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University, and venture companies.

In Boston, the visiting company executives shared the latest research results in biotech with staff from startups run by MIT professors and representatives from the university and discussed open innovation.

CJ CheilJedang also held the job fair "CJ Bio Talent Connect" for Korean American students at Harvard.

At this event, staff highlighted the company's unique research and development capacity and infrastructure in microbiome and green bio as well as the employee benefits system.

CJ CheilJedang plans to strengthen its global personnel and network to stimulate the recruitment of world-class staff.
