The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) said on Friday that it has selected 49 tourism routes developed by 19 different travel agencies, centered around the concept of Hallyu, also known as the Korean Wave.

The new tourism products were devised around the latest 51 Hallyu Representative Courses by KTO, featuring globally popular K-drama and movie filming locations, and tourist spots associated with K-pop artists, KTO said in a statement.

Among the key offerings are tours following the trail of K-pop sensation BTS, a Daegu food tour that taps into the rising popularity of Korean food worldwide, and best places to photograph a hanbok-wearing wedding

The newly selected travel products will be promoted through KTO's 32 overseas branches, its foreign language site Visitkorea, and various global online travel agencies.

KTO aims to attract 10,000 foreign tourists through these initiatives.
