Hyundai Motor Co., South Korea’s largest automaker, introduced a new version of its Creta compact SUV at the Indonesia International Motor Show on Thursday.

The Creta Dynamic Black Edition, which was launched to mark the first anniversary of Creta’s release in Indonesia, features an all-black exterior and convenience specs such as wireless smartphone charging and BlueLink, Hyundai’s advanced connectivity service. The new model is priced at 350 million rupiah ($24,500).

The Creta is a local model that Hyundai Motor started producing at its Indonesian plant in January last year. It sold 15,419 units in the Indonesian market in 2021.

Hyundai Motor participated in the motor show, which runs from Feb. 16 to Feb. 26 at the Jakarta International Expo, under the theme of Sustainable Space. The company recycled pallets and cardboard boxes used in its Indonesian factory to decorate its booth.

In this space, which has a total area of 1,350 square meters, 13 cars of six models, including Creta, Stargazer, IONIQ 5, Palisade, Santa Fe and Staria are on display. The company also operates an experience zone where visitors can learn more about Hyundai Motor’s products and services and a separate outdoor test drive site where they can try out some of the vehicles.
