South Korea's Doosan Bobcat said on Friday that it has opened an additional construction equipment parts distribution center (PDC) in Atlanta, Georgia.

With the latest opening, the number of Doosan Bobcat PDCs in the United States has increased to three, after Woodridge in Illinois and Reno in Nevada, and the total facility area has expanded by 2.5 times to 83,000 square meters (893,000 sq. ft.).

With the addition of a regional base, the company can offer better service, such as securing ample inventory, expanding available time for orders, shortening delivery time, and diversifying delivery options.

PDC is a facility that supplies attachments and parts. Doosan Bobcat has more than 400 types of attachments, the largest number in the industry, and revealed that it posted sales of 1.6 trillion won ($1.3 billion) in the aftermarket and parts service segment last year, up 27% from the previous year.

Doosan Bobcat supports Bobcat equipment dealers and customers in seven PDCs in North America, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, China and Hwaseong in Korea's Gyeonggi Province.

"Thanks to the opening of additional parts distribution centers in the western and southeastern United States, about 90% of orders can be delivered all across North America within three days," said an official of Doosan Bobcat, adding, "We will continue to grow the aftermarket business with the goal of reaching sales of over 2 trillion won by 2027 through sales source diversification."
